TALYS Inc.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

TALYS Inc. ("TALYS", "we") takes the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what information we collect through our website talys.ca, why we collect it, who we share it with and how you can exercise your rights. It is intended to comply with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector and, where applicable, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

1. Person in charge of the protection of personal information

For any question about this policy or your personal information, or to exercise your rights, contact our person in charge of the protection of personal information:

2. Information we collect

We only collect the information needed for the purposes described in this policy:

  • Contact form: your name, email address, phone number, company website (optional) and the content of your message.
  • Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe.
  • Direct communications: the information you give us when you email or call us.
  • Technical data: when you visit the site, your IP address, browser type and the date and time of your visit may be recorded in the logs of our hosting and security providers. We do not use them to identify you.

We do not use audience analytics or targeted advertising tools, and we do not perform profiling.

3. Why we use it

  • To answer your requests and prepare quotes;
  • To follow up on our discussions and projects;
  • To send you our newsletter, if you subscribed;
  • To keep the site secure and working properly;
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

4. Consent

By writing to us through the contact form, you consent to our using your information to answer your request. Subscribing to the newsletter is optional, and every issue includes an unsubscribe link. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us; this may, however, prevent us from following up on your request.

5. Service providers

We use service providers that process some information on our behalf, only for the purposes listed:

  • Mailgun: delivery of the messages sent through the contact form;
  • Microsoft 365: email and storage of our communications;
  • Mailchimp: newsletter management;
  • Cloudflare: website delivery and security;
  • HostWhiteLabel: website hosting;
  • Google: display of the map (Google Maps) and fonts (Google Fonts). When the page loads, your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Quebec, including in the United States. Your information may then be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.

6. Cookies

Our site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Cloudflare may set a technical cookie required for the site's security, and the embedded Google Maps map may set Google cookies when it is displayed. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

7. Retention

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected. Requests received through the contact form are kept for no more than 3 years after our last exchange, unless a business relationship is established or the law requires a longer period. You stop receiving the newsletter as soon as you unsubscribe. The information is then securely destroyed or anonymized.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information against loss, theft and unauthorized access, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access limited to the people who need it for their work.

9. Your rights

Subject to the law, you may:

  • access the personal information we hold about you and obtain a copy;
  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous;
  • withdraw your consent to its use;
  • ask that the information you provided be sent to you in a structured, commonly used technological format;
  • ask us to stop disseminating information about you or to de-index it, where the law allows.

To exercise these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

10. Confidentiality incidents

If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the people concerned, as required by law.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this page.
